Alejandro Aguilar

Alejandro (Alex) Aguilar Sr. 1959 – 2024, age 65, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. He was born on April 16, 1959, in El Paso, Texas to Jose and Trinidad Aguilar.

Alex graduated from Bowie High School and later attended Western Technical College. His diverse career included roles as a carpenter, truck driver, taxi driver, and ice cream truck owner, ultimately finding fulfillment as an automotive mechanic and detailer at various auto dealerships in the area.

A warm conversationalist, Alex was known for his infectious laughter that could brighten any room. His love for motorcycles led to many joyful rides, and he took great pleasure in working on cars, often sharing his knowledge with his children.

In his quieter moments, Alex found joy in watching game shows and classic television, relishing the nostalgia they brought. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Trinidad Aguilar; by his son child Alejandro; his siblings Jaime Aguilar and Enrique Aguilar.

Alex is survived by his wife, Bertha Aguilar, of 35 years; his children, Alejandro Jr. (Jamie), Manuel, Victoria, and his fur babies Wayne and Gizmo.

A visitation for Alex will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home, 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, Texas 79935. Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills Dr., El Paso, Texas 79936. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen East Cemetery, 12400 Montana Ave., El Paso, Texas 79936.
