Martha L. Campos

(December 30, 1933 - September 23, 2024) 

Our beloved and most cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Martha L. Campos, passed away peacefully at 90 years of age on September 23, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Having lived a long, blessed, and full life, her passing leaves a profound loss accompanied by an abundance of precious memories. She was born Martha Estela Lowenberg Campos Rodriguez to her parents, Federico (Fred) R. Lowenberg and María Rodriguez in the city of Parral in Chihuahua, México, the fourth of five children. She later immigrated to El Paso, Texas where she continued to live as a pillar of love for her children and grandchildren. Martha is survived by her five daughters: Graciela C. Lozano (José Luis), Teresita D. Alvarez, Martha P. Preciado, María Elvira Campos, Beatriz E. Campos; her nine grandchildren: Mariana A. Preciado, Cristina Campos, Gabriela Campuzano, Carlos E. Preciado, Frances A. Campuzano, Teresita D. Lozano, Laura P. Beltrán, Tonantzin G. Lozano, Guillermo A. Alvarez; her nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sister Mary St. John Berchmans (Graciela Lowenberg). She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister María (Mary); her brothers Herman, Federico (Fred), José (Joe); and her two sons, Eduardo F. Campos and José J. Campos. Visitation will be Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 8;00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., 79935 (915) 590-8700. Funeral mass Friday, September 27, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 900 West Missouri Avenue, 79902. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery East, 12400 Montana Avenue, 79938.
