Eulalio Garcia

On April 2, 2024, our wonderful Father, Eulalio Garcia, passed away peacefully at his home, as he wished, at the age of 98, with his loving family close to him. He had been declining slowly over the past few months, but he was a fighter and kept amazing us with his love of life. We were blessed to have him with us for so many years and for all of us to enjoy and love him. We are grateful for that. This was the greatest gift he could have given us.

Dad was a very good athlete in his youth, excelling in basketball and baseball and later became a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. He joined the Navy at 18 and spent almost 2 years during WWII on a ship in the Pacific that was involved in many battles. He was a part of the Greatest Generation, and we are so proud of him. After the war he joined the Post Office and enjoyed being a letter carrier retiring after 40 years.

He loved his children and grandchildren with a pure and unconditional love. He was the best father and grandfather that we could have been blessed with and his dear memory will continue to guide us through the rest of our lives. We all love you so much and you will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts and prayers.

Eulalio Garcia is survived by his children Jeannie Westerfield , Letty Talavera and Albert Garcia, six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raul, sister Elvira, his first wife Irma, his second wife Carmen and his son Miguel.

Visitation for Mr. Eulalio Garcia will be on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm with a Service at 11:30, final resting place at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
