With hearts full of love and deep gratitude for a life so beautifully lived, we share that Melissa Martinez Milam was called home to the loving arms of our Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Melissa was a devoted and beautiful wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a cherished godmother, and a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend. She gave fully of herself in every role she embraced, always placing others before herself with a generous and joyful heart. To know Melissa was to feel loved, welcomed, and cared for in a truly special way.
Melissa lived a life rooted in faith, love, and unwavering strength. She had a deep love and passion for her family, her faith, and her love for cars—something that brought her joy and connection with so many. She was always willing to give 100% of herself in anything she was asked to help with, never hesitating to step in with love, compassion, and dedication.
Throughout her life, Melissa held a multitude of careers, always giving her very best. Most recently, she served as a beloved employee of the Catholic Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso as the Progress Annual Ministry Appeal Assistant. She found great purpose in her work, knowing that her efforts helped support ministries that touched countless lives across the diocese.
Melissa is deeply loved by her husband, Alfred Milam, and warmly regarded by her parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews as the “second Momma” of the family—a title she carried with love, pride, and devotion. Her nurturing spirit, guidance, and unconditional love made her a pillar of strength and comfort for so many.
She is survived by her loving family:
Her husband,
Alfred Milam;
Her children,
Andrew Jacob Milam, Calogero Martinez, Angel Milam, Alfred Milam Jr., and Anabel Villalobos Milam;
Her cherished grandchildren,

Along with many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Melissa was welcomed into eternal life by those who have gone before her: Grandmother Eloisa Martinez, Grandfather Loreto Martinez, Aunt Maria Elena Martinez, Uncle Fransico Lozano, and Aunt Carmen Palacios.
Melissa’s life was a beautiful reflection of faith in action and love in service. She was a true warrior—strong, faithful, and full of grace. Even in the most difficult moments, her courage and trust in the Lord never wavered. Her legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.
While our hearts are deeply saddened by her passing, we find peace in knowing she is now healed, whole, and resting in the eternal embrace of our Lord.
She will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered always.
