No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

Steve Elijah Carmona was taken from us too soon on Saturday, March 23, 2024. Steve was born on June 28, 1977 in El Paso, Texas, to Socorro and Juana Carmona. Steve was an avid sports fan, never failing to watch the Dallas Cowboys or Manchester City. He also found immense joy and pride in coaching his son's sports teams.

Steve had a lifelong passion for music and loved attending concerts, especially when it came to seeing his nephew's perform. Steve and his daughter Kaylee bonded over a shared love of listening to records, particularly the band Ghost.

Above all else Steve loved his children, his grandson, and his soulmate Iliana. His caring charismatic personality and sense of humor touched so many of those around him.

Steve will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, son, and friend. Steve is survived by his wife, Iliana: his daughters, Alexis (Frank), Kaylee: his sons, Adrian, Christian (Nicole), Andres, Adam, Anthony: his grandson, Xavier: his siblings, Noe (Maria), Chris (Heather), Judith, Ruth, Claudia: his aunts, Elisa and Zeferina Madera, and many nieces and nephews.

Steve is preceded in death by his parents Socorro and Juana Carmona.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano Dr., El Paso, Texas 79935 (915) 590-8700. Interment will be at a later date.
